Brapt:
The sound a bike makes when you give it a rev.
Digger: When a person takes
a digger, they fall pretty hard on the track.
Faded: Term used when you’re
really tired after a long day at the track.
Holeshot: From the starting
gate, when you come into the first turn of a race in the
first position.
Getting Sauced: This usually
happens around 3:00am after the bar scene (the Sloppy Mess).
G.B.F.F. (Girls Best Friend
Forever) That scandalous guy who talks to your girlfriend
about any and all sad issues, to “help” her,
in hope of getting somewhere (you know the type).
Larry Loop Out: Term used
when an MXer is losing control, getting squirly and about
to wipe out hard.
Roost - the dirt and rocks
that get kicked in your face by a bike hauling a$$ in front
of you.
Scrub (a.k.a. the Bubba Scrub)
- James 'Bubba' Stewart invented and mastered this skill
of retaining speed while hitting a jump, by sharply cutting
the bike sideways while coming off a jump, and whipping
the bike flat and low. This technique keeps the bikes momentum
low and allows the bike to return to the ground quickly
in order to build up speed once again. So to recap, Bubba
and a few other pros risk bouncing their head off of a jump
in order to haul a$$ even faster!
Skauntlets: Term used in
place of dollars; How much did you pay for that sweet RecIgnition
Tee? It was only $18.00 Skauntlets!
Squirly: A more mild form
of the ‘Larry Loop Out’. It’s when a rider
gets a little out of control and/or shaky on their bike.
That Guy: You know, that
guy always doing something so outlandish that you have to
point your finger at him for acting a fool…Don’t
be ‘that guy’.
