Opera Theater Pittsburgh(current client)
Company Web SiteI am currently in the process of redesigning operatheaterpittsburgh.org. I am applying my skills to make some big changes from small aesthetics to converting the entire site from a table based layout, into a layout built entirely in CSS. I am working with some other very talented graphic designers and marketing professionals, making this a very rich and rewarding experience.
New Perspective (August of 2009)
Company Web SiteThis company is a leader in graphic design and animation, and is located in Pittsburgh's legendary strip district. In this short freelance project, I was assigned to put together a data retrieval system to be used in the back-end of a flash application. The project consists of three PHP pages that accepted user input, saved the data in an SQL database, and exported data to XML.
Signal Extraprise Corporation (February 2008 to March 2009)
Company Web SiteThis fine software company, located in Wexford, is a strong force in software development for the automotive aftermarket. My duties consisted of User Interface Design, Quality Assurance Testing, Graphic Design, Web Server Administration as well as some coding with XAML. I had a chance to use Microsoft Expression, and incorporate my knowledge of Photoshop, Fireworks, and Visual Studio.net. I worked at this company full time for over a year.
PrintNet Inc
PrintNet is an eco-friendly printing company located on the north side of the Pittsburgh. The president of the company has hired me to: manage web content, design newsletters and handle some web marketing. On a personal note, I'm very happy to be working with an Eco-Friendly client…its our future!
RIF Pittsburgh
"Reading is FUNdamental" Pittsburgh has hired me to re-do their website in its entirety. They are a small company; a derivative of the Children's Museum. This project is a lot of fun and will help out immensely in the mission to keep kids excited about reading. (Using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, PHP)
StockCastr (April through May of 2009)
This company had a presence in the Alpha Lab (South Side, Pittsburgh) during April and May of 2009. I was responsible for making mock-ups and interface design for their new web application.
Banana Republic (November 2007 to January 2008)
After graduating and interning, I thought I'd try something new. I worked part time for Banana Republic while working on some freelance projects and hunting for full time employment. My experience in retail was helpful in my overall experience as a web designer, as color and texture matching is a part of every day customer service.
Carnegie Museums Internship (Summer 2007)
In order to complete my Bachelors degree at Morrisville State, I needed a full time, 12 week, internship. Things worked out at Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History. I worked in the Marketing office, as well as Corporate Communications. For Carnegie, I completed tasks such as web design, research projects and customer surveying.
Video Production for Morrisville State College (Spring 2007)
Throughout my senior year at Morrisville State, I had earned some notoriety as one of the more creative students in the CIT department. The chairman of the CIT department put me in charge of video taping presentations from students who had just completed their internships. I was also in charge of the post-production phase. Using Final Cut Pro mainly, along with Photoshop, I created the final product that is now available on Morrisville.edu. URL coming soon!
WVCM College Radio
During my spring semester of 2007 at Morrisville State College, I actively participated in WCVM Media. WCVM is the college radio station streaming online, and on 1580 AM frequency. On Thursdays at 3:15 I (along with a partner) broadcasted the news and sports. Additionally, I had my very own specialty show. Click HERE for a podcast of my Radio Show. During our weekly meetings, I was assigned to write campus "promos" and designed flyers to be posted around the Morrisville College campus.
RecIgnition Industries (Summer 2006)
This family based company was active from 2006 to 2008. Two brothers, who had a great passion for moto-cross, hired me to create an online store front to sell their line of dirt bike accessories. I was able to attend the Unadilla Motocross event of 2006 to take photos and meet other motocross enthusiasts in order to get a better feel for our product. This not only made a great piece for my portfolio, but also made for a great, fun-filled summer.
Quadsimia LLC Internship (Spring 2005)
As a part of my web design curriculum at Mohawk Valley Community College, I interned for 12 weeks at Quadsimia LLC in Utica, NY. My duties mainly consisted of putting together mock-ups and layouts for new clients, as well as testing and editing the websites of current clients. I still keep in touch with some of the designers at Quadsimia just to share ideas. They are, without a doubt, Utica's best design company.
